Media in 2020

This link basically sums up how Michael Dell and other heads of industry think media will change by the year 2020. They think that the advancement of technology that has made it easier for people to communicate with each other over the last 15 years will continue to grow at a much more rapid rate to the point where the most brilliant minds in the world can be in touch with one another in the development of new media and/or new companies. This is essentially saying that the future of media will rely very heavily on collaboration among people all over the world.

I agree with Dell's perspective on the industry's future being based on collaborative efforts from people all over the world. It seems as though social networking is the inevitable future, and it would therefore only be natural for this social networking to advance over the next few years to the point where most work is done via the internet rather than in person. If this is the case, and tools such as Drop Box and Google Docs become advanced enough, I see no reason why people in the US and India can't work together in 2020 as closely as people in neighboring cubicles do today.
